The Rule :: essays research papers

The RuleWhen one turns eighteen years old they are looked at, by many, as anadult. They goat vote, probably stay out later, receive more responsibilitiesbecause now those responsibilities depose be handled. They will soon leave homeand start a tour to college. They will be on their own, free to make theirown decisions. They will rely on no one but themselves. If we are given in college the freedom to do as we please then why aretheir rules when we get there? I am not talking about drinking, or smoking inthe rooms. Or how much noise we can make after a certain hour. Colleges haveto be strict on those issues because they can be unsafe to the individual orpeople around them. By keeping the noise down we are only universe considerate to early(a) people. The rule that I feel is ridiculous is the visitation rule. Why can aguy be in a girls room all day, or a girl be in a guys room all day, but mustleave at night? Their is no harm being done if he or she stays. If yourroommate doesnt min d then their shouldnt be a problem. If we are told that weare responsible enough to go and live onward from home, then why does it matterwho we live with? Why arent we trusted when it comes to that issue? I feelthat one should be trusted until one proves otherwise. The rule may forbid boyfriends, girlfriends, or just friends to stay ina room, but why family members? Have a heart. Your family member drives allthe way to your school to lift up you and they must sleep some where else, why?Didnt your brother or sister come to visit you in college? Didnt you want himor her to stay with you? If they were a junior sibling wouldnt it make youfeel safer if they were by your side all night?Listen, I am not attacking your decision pertaining to this issue. I am scarcely asking reasonable questions and stating reasonable ideas on why I feel
